Job: Team Lead Data Scientist in Smart Village, Giza

Job brief

We are looking for a Team lead Data Scientist to lead a data science team for analyzing large amounts of raw information to find patterns that can help to improve our company and build data products to extract valuable business insights.

In this role, you should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math and statistics. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. We also want to see a passion for machine-learning and research and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.

Responsibilities

• Understanding business objectives and developing models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress.
• Analyzing the ML algorithms and tools that could be used to solve a given problem and ranking them by their success probability.
• Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
• Verifying data quality, and/or ensuring it via data cleaning.
• Defining the preprocessing or feature engineering to be done on a given dataset.
• Apply  preliminary data exploration to gain understanding of data patterns.
• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
• Combine models through ensemble modeling
• Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
• Perform statistical analysis for the errors of the model and designing strategies to overcome them.
• Deploying models to production.
• Present information using data visualization techniques
